Why play at Landing Zone?

There are so many reasons to play at our gaming center. Landing Zone Gaming center is not about just playing internet or XBOX 360 games; we want you to experience a whole new level of gaming. You and your friends can enjoy gaming together at specially designed gaming tables and in an atmosphere designed especially for you. You will have the fastest gaming computers in the industry connected to 19 inch flat screen monitors; you will always have the latest and most popular games available. You will never have to purchase expensive games, headsets or a separate high end computer to play your games plus you do not have to share the family computer. All of our games are loaded onto every computer so you and your friends can compete as a team against anyone or you can compete against your friends for bragging rights. The gamers’ lounge will allow you to kick back with your friends or other gamers and discuss the latest strategies or accomplishments. With our frequently scheduled tournaments you will be able to increase your skills, compete against others and win valuable prizes. If you like XBOX games, we have XBOX 360 loaded with the newest games that are played either on a 32” flat screen TV or if you really want to get excited with your friends hook up on our 52” DLP TV and really get into the game. We want our members to have the very best experience every time they walk through our doors. If you visit for a few hours or play all night we feel you deserve the best gaming atmosphere, the most popular games, and the best and fastest equipment for your gaming experience.

What if I have problems with the computer or game, does my time continue while it is being fixed?

No! Your time is displayed directly on your computer and if there is a problem we can easily move you to another computer since all of our games are on all of our gaming computers and your password is your log on.

Can I come into the Center and just see what it is like?

We encourage parents to come in and visit our Center. Any of our gaming technicians will be glad to show you around and answer any of your questions. We offer something for all ages. Our facility is not only protected with a state of the art security system. We proudly support ESRB rating for our games and as a member your child will be restricted to only those games that relate to the ESRB rating for his or her age, or a parent give permission to play. The only time you can not enter the Center is after we start a “lock in” because the main entrance doors will not be able to be opened from the outside (this is to protect our gamers and staff from unwanted visitors late at night), however, they are equipped with panic hardware so in the event of an emergency exiting the Center is not a problem.

How old should my son/daughter be before they come to the Center?

That depends on you and you child. If your son/daughter is mature enough to be left alone while engaged in an activity they enjoy without disturbing others then they are old enough to play at Landing Zone. Although we are not a baby sitting service, we believe most 10-15 year olds love to play computer or XBOX games and once they start playing the games, they need very little supervision. If a problem does arise one of our gaming technicians will always be available to help solve their problem. We have a code of conduct for all members and do not allow excessive profanity, disruptive behavior or any behavior that violates another members’ right to enjoy gaming. There will be gamers of all ages, from 10 to 50, playing in the Center at any one time. We believe everyone wants a safe and enjoyable gaming environment.

How will my Son/Daughter will be treated at the Center?

Everyone who enters Landing Zone will be treated as our most valuable customer. We want all of our gamers to have the best gaming experience possible and age is irrelevant in the gaming community. Unless your son/daughter is very different from others, once they get into their game, outside influences are “zoned” out and it does not matter how old or young you are, it is the game that becomes the most important thing at the moment. If your son/daughter does need help, our staff is trained to assist them with any question or problem.

I am concerned about the type of games my son/daughter will play. How do you control the games my son/daughter will be playing?

We comply with the ERSB rating for games and when your son/daughter sign up for their membership they will provide their date of birth. This is recorded into our system and your son/daughter will be restricted by the computer to only those games suitable for their age group. Your son/daughter can not change or circumvent (cheat) the system because it is controlled by our servers and point of sales computer. If you wish to allow your Son/daugthter to play a different rated game the parent must sign a wavier allowing Landing Zone to release the game by membership only. This means that if you have more than one child as a member only the child who you have give written premission to play a higher ERSB rated game can do so.

How will my child be able to play at Landing Zone and not view a higher rated game?

There will often be a higher rated game beiing played. With the understanding that other game may be played while your child is in the center there is a possiblity they may be expose to some degree, this does not mean they will be exposed to the full content of the higher rated games. We do not allow loitering or just watching a friend in the computer area, when this is allowed sometimes the person who is watch becomes bored which can lead to unwanted behaviors. Each gaming station is setup so the station next to it cannot see the others screen. Most often the noise from the center and the other systems makes it so you cannot understand the audio from the next stations. With these built in controls your child should not be exposed to Mature rated games unless you have authorized it.

I don’t understand all this gaming and when I talk to my son/daughter about gaming they can’t explain it in terms I understand. If I have questions can I come in and talk to someone about gaming?

We would welcome you into the Center. Our technicians will try to answer all of your questions and explain the games in the most fundamental way. We want you to understand gaming and why your son/daughter wants to play games. If our technicians cannot answer your questions or address your concerns they will write down your question/concern and give it to our Operations Manager. Our Operations Manager has over 15 years of gaming experience and will reply to you via your email address or call and talk to you within 24 hours.

What happens if my son/daughter gets sick at the Center and I am not there?

All members will have an emergency telephone number (s) on file and we will make every effort to contact you. If a life threatening emergency does occur at the Center, our gaming technicians will call the appropriate fire, police, or medical responders. Remember this is a public center and not a child care facility your child should beable to care for themselves, or contact you.
